Vaastu at home and in the workplace
The first and foremost step towards building a dream
home is the right selection of a suitable and Vaastu-friendly plot. If the very
foundation of a structure is weak it is impossible to create a strong and
long-lasting building on it, similarly if the Vastu of the plot is only wrong,
it is impossible to create a Vastu-compliant premises over it. Hence, great
care should be taken while choosing a plot so as to confirm that it radiates
positive and auspicious vibes, only then can it add to the overall prosperity
and well being of its builders or owners. However, the virtue and goodness of a
plot can be tested by judging it through the following parameters:
1. It
is said that human mind and soul is the best judge to ascertain positive and
negative vibes floating in the environment around us. The best way to find out
whether a plot is suitable or not is to go there and use your sixth sense by
closing your eyes and taking in ten deep breaths, if you get a relaxed and
happy feeling, that means the plot would yield positive results for you. If you
feel that you would not be able to sense the correct vibrations, it is
advisable to take along a more intuitive and sensitive personality with you.
You can even take a newborn child to identify this. If the child remains happy
and laughs, the plot is considered auspicious, if not then the plot is not
worth wasting your time, money and energy on it.
2.
You can use another method to identify the
goodness of a plot. It involves getting a pit of 1.5 ft deep right at the centre of the plot and get it filled with water. Wait for a while and see how
much of the water level has gone down. If it has fallen down by 60% or more,
the plot should not be purchased at all; if the water level has gone down by
50%, it is considered to be an average plot, but if the water level remains the
same or diminishes only by 10% or so, that means it is an excellent plot and
should not be missed at all.
3.
Another way of checking the credibility of
a plot is by testing its soil texture. To do this, take some soil in one hand
and squeeze it tightly for a few minutes. Now, slowly open your hand, if the
soil slips out quickly from the hand, it means the plot is not favorable; on
the contrary, if the soil sticks to your hand, it is judged to be a good plot.
FACTORS TO CHECK OUT BEFORE PURCHASING A PLOT
BY - Dr. PUNEET CHAWLA
1. While
purchasing a plot, make sure there is no hospital or graveyard in the vicinity
as both these places emit a lot of negative energy and even infections in the
case of the former.
2. A
plot near a temple or a church should also be avoided as a lot of negative
energy of the disciples of both these places of worship is emitted through its
apexes. However, if your house happens to be near one of these structures, try
ensuring that their shadow does not fall on your building.
3. A
structure juxtaposed between two large buildings is not considered good for its occupants. Also, a large industrial complex next to or in front of the main
gate of your premises is very inauspicious as it hinders the growth and
developments of its residents.
4. There
should not be a large mountain or building to the north of your structure.
Neither should there by a river or stream flowing to the south. Both these
situations are considered anti-Vaastu.
5. Corner
plots, agricultural lands, also called live land, and plots covered with green
vegetation all around are believed to be very fruitful and prosperous.
6. There
should not be an electric or telephone pole or a big tree right in front of the
main entrance of your building. Also, a plot with a road ending on it or a
T-junction at its corner is not a good sign.
7. The
plot should be free from garbage and stones.
8. In
case of a plot for commercial purposes, a busy running road on all directions
is a very good and auspicious symbol.
9. North-facing
plots are considered the best, then comes the East, West and lastly, the
South-facing ones.
10.
The presence of a natural slope on the
north-east corner is very auspicious. A higher south-west corner is also termed
very fulfilling and worthy.
